Job Summary

This role is responsible for end-to-end logistics operations across Ocean Import, Ocean Export, US Drayage, and Air Freight. The position manages customer communication, coordinates with carriers, forwarders, and drayage vendors, and oversees freight cost/billing accuracy to ensure smooth and reliable logistics execution for key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ocean Import: Manage shipping schedules, review B/L and customs documentation, track inbound cargo, and resolve issues through timely customer communication
  • Ocean Export: Process bookings, prepare and review shipping documents (S/O, B/L, etc.), coordinate schedules with carriers, and support export customs clearance
  • US Drayage: Coordinate port/rail terminal pickup and delivery schedules, negotiate and settle drayage vendor rates, and manage demurrage/detention charges
  • Air Freight: Coordinate urgent and special cargo shipments, manage flight schedules and freight rates, and communicate with forwarders
  • Provide regular status updates and issue reporting to customers
  • Verify vendor (carrier, forwarder, drayage company) rates and invoices, and manage the billing/settlement process
  • Handle freight claims and billing dispute resolution
  • Maintain logistics data and prepare reports (KPIs, cost analysis, etc.)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Logistics, International Trade, Business, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean/air freight operations (experience in import, export, or drayage preferred)
  • Business-level English communication skills (email and phone correspondence)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a freight forwarder, ocean carrier, or 3PL
  • Understanding of US drayage/terminal operations
  • Experience using TMS/ERP or other logistics systems
  • Experience supporting manufacturing (especially solar/energy sector) accounts
